Perihelion

Perihelion was on Saturday. It’s the point in Earth’s orbit where we’re closest to the Sun and it’s always struck me how funny that it happens in the middle of winter. It’s counterintuitive, right? We’re getting the least amount of energy from the Sun when we’re closest to it, in the northern hemisphere at least.
